Tim Melia: Defensive Stalwart
Tim Melia started playing for Sporting KC in 2015 and became super important for their defense. He played 298 games which is fourth most in club history. Melia was really good and consistent and helped lead the teams defense. Now Sporting KC needs to find a new goalkeeper that’s as good as Melia to keep their defense strong. Him leaving means big changes for both him and the team.
Transitions in Major League Soccer
Russell and Melia leaving is like what’s happening all over Major League Soccer. Lots of teams are changing things up like FC Cincinnati getting Kevin Denkey and Jim Curtin suddenly leaving Philadelphia Union. While all these teams are changing how they play and who’s on their team, Sporting KC is gonna try to get better players so they can keep winning in MLS.
