Philadelphia Union have went ahead and got Indiana Vassilev from St. Louis CITY SC in a big move. The attack-minded player comes to the team for $1 million in General Allocation Money (GAM) plus another $200,000 they might have to pay later. This move shows how Philadelphia is trying real hard to make their team better in Major League Soccer.

Indiana Vassilev: A Good Pick Up
Indiana Vassilev who can play pretty much anywhere in attack, is going to join Philadelphia Union. The deal which is going to cost $1 million in GAM plus some extra money if things go well was posted about by Tom Bogert on Twitter. Vassilev just started playing for the USA team too which is pretty cool and shows he’s getting better, which is exactly what Philadelphia wants as they try to do better in MLS.

Vassilev’s Career and What He Brings
Vassilev has played at a lot of places like Tormenta FC IMG Academy and was with Aston Villa’s young teams before he came to MLS. He’s played 108 games scored 10 goals and helped make 11 more which is pretty good. Philadelphia Union wanted him because he can do different jobs on the field which is exactly what they were looking for.

The way Indiana Vassilev ended up at Philadelphia Union shows how teams make moves in MLS. Teams are always looking for players who are good and can play different positions. This deal is kind of like other big moves that happened like Leonardo Campana going to New England Revolution and Jesús Murillo moving to Juárez which shows how MLS teams are always trying to get better.
