Jansen’s New Role at NYCFC
Pascal Jansen who’s 51 and from Holland, is now the head coach of New York City FC. He’s leaving Ferencváros where he only managed for half a season to start working in MLS. Jansen is really good at planning and helping young players get better which makes him perfect for what NYCFC wants to do in Major League Soccer.

Jansen used to work at AZ Alkmaar for a while, both as an assistant and the main manager. He likes using a 4-3-3 formation that’s good for defense and he’s done well in European games which should help NYCFC play better and win more.

The City Football Group which has lots of clubs around the world helped get Jansen by buying out his contract. They did this because they want NYCFC to do better in MLS. They picked Jansen because he fits with how they want all their teams to play and can help young players get better.
