In a big deal the Colorado Rapids got all of Philadelphia Union’s SuperDraft picks for the next three seasons and gave up $350,000 in General Allocation Money. This move shows the Rapids want to build their team with young players while Philadelphia Union gets money they can use right away. These kind of deals are becoming pretty normal in how MLS teams do business now.
Growing Global Recognition
The MLS is getting noticed more around the world, with big transfers like Alphonso Davies going to Bayern Munich and Thiago Almada moving to Botafogo showing how the league is getting better. This is like a new chapter in how players move between teams showing that clubs everywhere are starting to see how good MLS players can be.
