Atlanta United’s chase for Celtic’s Kyogo Furuhashi has hit a weird bump, after Major League Soccer (MLS) messed up and announced his transfer by mistake. But now it looks like they’re looking at other players since things have gotten kinda weird.

The Mistaken MLS Announcement
In this weird thing that happened, the MLS website posted something wrong saying Atlanta United got Kyogo Furuhashi from Celtic FC. They had to take it down super fast and say sorry about messing up. Even with all this drama Atlanta United definitely wanted him for real and they even offered $12 million. But now they’re thinking about maybe getting different players instead. If you wanna know more about what Atlanta United’s doing with players, you can look at their transfer news page.

Kyogo Furuhashi: A Valuable Asset
Kyogo Furuhashi’s been really good for Celtic FC since he came over from Vissel Kobe back in 2021 for €5.4 million. He’s worth about €14 million now and he’s got eight goals plus three assists in 19 games this season. He’s so good that lots of teams want him not just in MLS but probably in other places too. You can check out more about him on Transfermarkt.
Atlanta’s Alternative Targets
Since the whole Furuhashi thing is kinda slowing down Atlanta United is still trying to make their team better. They’re looking at other good players like Latte Lath and Odsonne Edouard. It just shows how the transfer market keeps changing especially in MLS which is getting more attention from players all over. You can see how big the league’s getting with stuff like Leonardo Campana moving from Inter Miami to New England Revolution.
