Lionel Messi got the 2025 MLS Golden Boot scoring like 29 goals which is pretty amazing and shows how good he still is. When he scored three goals against Nashville SC it really helped him win the top scorer award and helped Inter Miami get closer to making the playoffs.

While playing for Inter Miami CF Messi showed everyone he still got it by scoring 29 goals in just 28 games. He didn’t just score goals though he also helped other players score 19 times which was almost as many as Carlos Vela’s record of 49 total goals and assists in a regular season. This really shows how good Messi is at scoring and helping his teammates score too.

On the last day of regular season, Messi scored three goals against Nashville SC which helped Inter Miami win 5-2. The next best scorers Denis Bouanga from LAFC and Sam Surridge from Nashville SC both got 24 goals. Messi scoring so many goals didn’t just help him win awards it also meant Inter Miami got to play playoff games at home.
What This Means for MLS
Ever since Messi joined MLS in 2023 the league has gotten way more attention from everyone. More people are watching games now kind of like what might happen if Kevin De Bruyne moves to Chicago Fire. Inter Miami CF coach Javier Mascherano said Messi has been super important for how well the team has done. Messi makes his teammates better and fans love watching him play which is making MLS better and more popular.
