Chicago Fire has made a big move by signing 16-year-old center back Chris Cupps to a homegrown deal showing how they want to develop young talent. Cupps has been really good in the Chicago Fire Academy showing what he can do at the U-19 level. He played really good during the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season with 15 games and 975 minutes of play which got him noticed by the first team as Chicago Fire wants to make their defense stronger with homegrown talent.

He just got picked for the U-17 USMYNT training camp in Florida which shows how important he is becoming for the national team.
