Atlanta United is having a real rough start to their 2025 season with only two wins in their first ten games. It’s the worst start the team has ever had since they started, even though they spent big money on players like Alexey Miranchuk and Miguel Almiron. The team just can’t seem to score goals with five games where they didn’t score at all which is putting a lot of heat on manager Ronny Deila to change things up.

  • Atlanta United has a 2-5-3 record the worst start they ever had.
  • Big players like Alexey Miranchuk and Miguel Almiron aren’t playing good enough.
  • People are questioning what manager Ronny Deila is doing with his tactics.

Tactical Challenges and Player Utilization

People ain’t happy with how Atlanta United is playing. They paid $13 million for Alexey Miranchuk and he’s mostly playing as a No. 10 but maybe he should play deeper instead. He only got one goal in seven games which isn’t great. Miguel Almiron who they bought back for $12 million makes lots of chances but they don’t let him play in the middle where he likes. Emmanuel Latte Lath who they paid a huge $22 million for still hasn’t found his groove yet.

All these problems with how they’re playing is making the team do bad and they gotta change some stuff to get the players working better together.

Looking Forward: Potential for Improvement

Atlanta United’s got some tough games coming up against Nashville SC and Philadelphia Union. They need to be more flexible with how they play and use their players better if they wanna handle these games. The people in charge and coaches are feeling the pressure to get better results and if things don’t get better soon they might need to make some changes.

Looking at what other MLS teams are doing could help them figure stuff out. Playing in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup could help them make money and get better. If they make some smart changes Atlanta United might still turn this season around and start winning again.
