Liverpool’s reported £110m double-raid on Wolves stars making the headlines

Liverpool are potentially just a game or two away from winning the Premier League, once the season restarts next week, and the rumour mill is in full overdrive with reports the Reds are putting together a £110 million raid on two Wolves stars.

A report in the Sun states that both Ruben Neves and Adama Traore are subject of the double bid from Liverpool, but only if the champions-elect can sell a few players first.

Gini Wijnaldum, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri’s futures are up in the air when the season ends, with Adam Lallana’s contract also ending once the season is over.

Wolves will surely want to put up a fight for their two star players, with European football a strong possibility for next season and lofty ambitions of their own to break into the top four.

The pandemic will put strain on clubs to sell, but also limiting their power to buy, so while talk of a deal for Neves and Traore might be a signal of Liverpool’s intent, it looks like a swoop that won’t happen all that quickly, if at all.
