Liverpool tipped to buy 541-goalscorer to revolutionize their attack

Liverpool are increasingly becoming the ‘club of choice’ to be Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski’s new challenge in 2022, according to a report via TEAMtalk.

There had been rumblings this past summer transfer window that the 32-year-old Polish superstar was on the lookout for a new challenge, but clubs were quickly put off by Bayern Munich’s supposed £100million plus price-tag.

Lewandowski’s contract is up in 2023 and the report claims that Bayern have begun sounding out clubs that may be keen to sign their record goalscorer next summer, with just one year remaining to cash-in and Liverpool are one of them.

There is a feeling that the striker wants to test himself at the highest level at one more top club away from Germany, with Man City and Man Utd also named as potential destinations.

The sticking point is that Lewandowski isn’t Messi or Ronaldo, he isn’t quite as box office and his age will mean no resale value – Bayern will expect a significant sum next summer likely to be anywhere between £70-£100m.
