Liverpool reportedly have no interest in signing Brazilian superstar in transfer window

Liverpool will reportedly not be re-signing Philippe Coutinho in the next transfer window, according to the Mirror, with Jurgen Klopp having ‘zero’ interest in doing business.

It had appeared that Coutinho was reluctant in the past to move to one of the Reds’ Premier League rivals, but with a return to Anfield ruled out, the door suddenly looks very open such a transfer happening.

Manchester United and Tottenham have both shown interest in the past and are likely to be keen to listen to how much Barcelona will want for the 27-year-old, who is all-but certain to depart the Spanish champions.

Having played out this season on-loan at Bayern Munich, it’s unlikely that the Germans will offer a deal to keep him there on a permanent transfer – as such a return to the Premier League looks likely.

The major sticking point to any club doing a deal for Coutinho, according to the report, is his apparent price-tag, with Barcelona keen to recoup as much of the €160m they spent on him in 2018 from Liverpool.
