Liverpool plot shock bid for England stopper to solve Alisson injury dilemma
Liverpool’s trust in Alisson’s understudy Adrian has seemingly been lost after the 7-2 drubbing to Aston Villa, and as such the Champions are eyeing a shock bid for an out of favour ex-England international.
The report covered in Sky Sports Transfer Centre states that Stoke’s Jack Butland is being considered to potentially come in in the weeks during Alisson’s absence.
Butland, now 27, has fallen out of the first team picture at the Championship side – last playing in July.
Stoke would likely be open to a sale to remove the wages, while it would be an automatic, quick fix for Liverpool with the domestic transfer window with EFL clubs open until Friday 16th October.
