Liverpool chiefs ‘impressed’ by England U21 midfielder as Reds plot £30m swoop

On the back of this past weekend’s victory at Norwich City, Liverpool chiefs were reportedly so ‘impressed’, and have been all season, with Canaries star Todd Cantwell that the Reds could make a lucrative bid this summer.

Norwich would not want to see their key midfielder, who is just 21, leave even if they are relegated, but a figure close to the £30 million mark could be too good to turn down – as is reported in the Athletic.

The Canaries are set to stand firm and not lower their expectations of achieving at least £30m, since Cantwell’s contract isn’t up until 2022 and the player himself seems more than content with life at Carrow Road, playing week in week out.

Todd Cantwell has six Premier League goals this season, two assists and has an England U21 cap to his name in what’s been a hugely impressive ‘breakout’ campaign for the youngster.
