Liverpool can reportedly sign defender ‘immediately’ if they pay £27m
A report today in the Liverpool Echo claims that Jurgen Klopp’s champions have the opportunity to sign a defender ‘immediately’ if they offer up the sum of £27million.
In quotes taken from the De Telegraaf podcast via sports journalist Mike Verweijj, a deal for Ajax defender Perr Schuurs could be done almost immediately in the new year, but as of yet there is no ‘concrete interest’ from Liverpool;
“An amount of thirty million [Euros] will be attached [for Perr Schuurs]. If Marc Overmars gets the chance, I think he will do it immediately.”
“I checked at Ajax and there is no concrete interest from Liverpool.”
“After the match against Liverpool, the Liverpool delegation was impressed by Schuurs. He is on a list.”
The 21-year-old Dutch centre-back has impressed Liverpool officials and is one of a number of defenders on a ‘list’ heading into the next transfer window.
