Liverpool and Chelsea told to splash out £55m on speedy winger’s release clause
Premier League table-toppers Liverpool and top-four chasing Chelsea have been told by Spanish club Villareal to splash-out £55 million on their star winger’s release-clause if they are keen to land him this summer.
The 20-year-old’s blistering pace is an attractive trait for the ‘top clubs’ looking to get the edge and the Nigerian international has been a constant this season, scoring four and assisting an additional four.
Liverpool, says the report via HITC, were in for Samuel Chukwueze back in January but came up short in their offer which is said to have been around £30m.
Whether or not Liverpool and Chelsea will follow-up on interest for Chukwueze heading into a longer transfer window this summer remains to be seen.
