Liverpool academy star set for surprise ‘seven-figure’ transfer
Liverpool have reportedly come to an agreement to sell one of their academy strikers for a significant seven-figure transfer fee, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Canadian international Liam Millar is set for transfer in the upcoming weeks to Switzerland’s top club, FC Basel.
A deal is said to have been ‘accepted’ with the 20-time Swiss champions, despite interest from newly-promoted Championship side Blackpool.
The 21-year-old has hardly been prolific, spending last season on-loan at Charlton in League One, scoring three league goals in 27 games.
