Rennes have split up with manager Jorge Sampaoli after a short and rough time at the club Players like Glen Kamara and Mika Faye are now thinking about leaving the club because of the manager getting fired. Sampaoli didn’t do very well at Rennes which led to him getting sacked.

The End of Sampaoli’s Stint at Rennes

Rennes have said they fired their manager Jorge Sampaoli which ends his short and rocky time there. He started in November 2024 and only managed ten matches where he won three and lost seven which wasn’t good enough Even though he did good things before like winning Copa América with Chile in 2015 he couldn’t do the same at Rennes. Players in Limbo: Glen Kamara and Mika Faye

Now that Rennes changed managers players like Glen Kamara and Mika Faye don’t know what to do next. Kamara who plays in the middle and played 65 times for Finland came to Rennes in July 2024 and has a deal until 2028. He’s worth about €6.00 million. Then there’s Mika Faye who plays in defense and played once for Senegal, he joined in August 2024. His contract goes till 2028 too and has this €25M buyback thing and 30% sell-on fee in it. Sampaoli’s Coaching Legacy

Jorge Sampaoli has coached lots of big teams like Flamengo Sevilla FC and Marseille. He did really good at Marseille and changed how the team played. He likes his teams to attack a lot and can change his tactics when needed. He also coached Argentina and Chile national teams and did pretty good there too. Now that he’s left Rennes it’s just another part of his long career in football.
