Fabrizio Romano tweeted that there’s this verbal agreement with Olympique Lyonnais that lets him go for €22.5 million in January. It’s not like official on paper but it’s basically working like a release clause and lots of teams are really excited about maybe getting him.

Lyon’s having real bad money problems and since they’re probably going down to Ligue 2 they gotta sell players like Cherki to get some money. Liverpool especially wants him cause they think he could maybe replace Mohamed Salah if he goes to Al-Hilal. Other teams like Borussia Dortmund Bayer Leverkusen Bayern Munich and Napoli are also looking at him which shows how good everyone thinks he is.

This season Cherki’s been doing way better than before, he’s really good playing on the right wing but he can also play in the middle or on the left. Teams are really noticing how good he is when they watch him play. He’s been at Olympique Lyonnais his whole career and hasn’t moved to a big team yet so this could be like his big chance.
