Giroud’s Current Situation at LAFC
Olivier Giroud’s time at Los Angeles FC hasn’t been that good with not many chances to play and not many goals. Since he joined LAFC on July 18 2024 the French forward only played three matches in the 2024/25 season for like 161 minutes and didn’t score. Even though he’s had a great career before Giroud only started 5 of the 16 MLS games for LAFC and got five goals all year. Now that LAFC is looking at their team, Giroud might end up going back to Europe.

Lille’s Interest and Potential Move
French club LOSC Lille says they want to get Giroud according to L’Equipe. They’re still just starting to talk about it but it looks more and more like Giroud might leave LAFC. If this happens it would mean Giroud goes back to French football where he used to play for Montpellier HSC. Lille wants Giroud cause they need more good players up front.
Career Highlights and Transfer History
In his career Giroud has always been really good at using his strength and winning headers. He went from Montpellier HSC to Arsenal FC in 2012 for like £9.6 million then to Chelsea FC and AC Milan before ending up at LAFC. All these moves have been part of his big career where he played 137 times for France and scored 57 goals. If he goes to Lille it could help him get back to playing good again in a place he knows well.
