Leicester and Newcastle plan £15m bids this summer for Championship’s ‘best player’
Leicester City seem destined for one of the lucrative Champions League spots come the end of the Premier League season and that will undoubtedly mean they will be in the mix to attract some of the best players available.
One of those catching the eye of manager Brendan Rodgers is Brentford’s Algerian winger Saïd Benrahma, who was making plenty of headlines this past weekend scoring a hat-trick in a 5-1 thumping of Hull.
Having signed for less than £2m in 2018 Brentford have a bargain player on their hands playing at such a level that he will almost certainly be playing top-tier football next season – be it with Brentford or elsewhere.
The report in the Sun claims Newcastle are hot on Leicester’s heels and both will be locked in a battle to snap up the 24-year-old. who has been called the Championship’s ‘best player’ – the Premier League duo want to spend around £15 million on Saïd Benrahma.
