Leicester and Man Utd weigh up transfer swoop for Monchengladbach star

Borussia Monchengladbach forward Alassane Plea is reportedly a target for both Manchester United and Leicester City, but the Germans are likely to demand a hefty fee for their goalscorer.

The report in the Mirror claims that both Premier League clubs are monitoring his availability, but with the Frenchman hardly prolific with just eight goals in 28, neither club would want to break the bank on the 27-year-old.

Plea won his one and only French cap back in 2018 and can be deployed on either wing in an attacking formation, but has played the majority of games for Borussia Monchengladbach as a centre-forward.

Leicester according to the report have invested more in signing Alassane Plea, having scouted him on numerous occasions, dating back to the time of Claude Puel’s management of the club.
