Leeds to be offered chance to sign one-time England capped stopper on free transfer
Leeds United could be in the market to pick up an experienced free transfer this summer if a report in Football Insider proves to be true.
Wolves are set to release John Ruddy from his contract at Molineux with a 119 Premier League appearances and one England cap to his name, Leeds could be enticed to enter the free transfer market for the stopper.
Fans haven’t warmed to Kiko Casilla, and his performances between the sticks for Leeds have shown he can be a liability at the best of times – a return to the Premier League would surely warrant safer hands.
Leeds have an option to buy their on-loan keeper Illan Meslier when the season ends and may opt to do so for what is said to be a reported £5m agreement with his French parent club Lorient.
