Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Omission from England Squad Sparks Debate

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been left out of England’s squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, a decision that shocked many. Even after his big money move to Real Madrid in 2025 for €10 million Alexander-Arnold hasn’t got much playing time which probably affected Thomas Tuchel’s choice. At the same time Djed Spence and Elliot Anderson got called up showing Tuchel’s interest in new players.

In a move nobody saw coming England manager Thomas Tuchel has dropped Trent Alexander-Arnold from the squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Everyone was surprised since Alexander-Arnold moved to Real Madrid in summer 2025 for like €10 million. Even though he did great things at Liverpool he’s been having trouble getting games at Real Madrid which might be why Tuchel made this big call.


Rising Stars: Djed Spence and Elliot Anderson

While Alexander-Arnold got left out young players Djed Spence and Elliot Anderson are getting all the attention after making the England squad. Spence who plays for Tottenham Hotspur looks like he could really help England’s defense. Thomas Tuchel seems to want to bring in young players like Spence and Adam Wharton to make the team more exciting for future games. It’s clear Tuchel wants to shake things up with new players and ideas.

Manchester City’s Interest in Alexander-Arnold

While all this national team stuff is going on there’s talk about where Trent Alexander-Arnold might play next. People are saying Manchester City really wants to get the right-back who’s worth somewhere between €62.5 million and €76.4 million. Since his Real Madrid contract goes until June 2031 it would take a lot of talking to make any move happen.
