In the 2024/2025 season he’s played like 1,320 minutes in different games including La Liga and UEFA Champions League. Even though he hasn’t scored any goals his defense has been really good for the team. Because he’s been playing so well Real Madrid wants to give him a new contract that’ll keep him longer than June 2026 and pay him more money.
