José Mourinho talked about when he left Real Madrid to go back to Chelsea and said he wishes he didn’t do it. Even though Florentino Perez told him to stay at Madrid Mourinho went back to Chelsea after having a rough time in Spain. Looking back now he says this is one of the things he really regrets which he mentioned when someone interviewed him recently.
- Florentino Perez wanted Mourinho to stick around at Real Madrid cause he thought good things were coming.
- Mourinho decided to go back to Chelsea in 2013 after things got pretty hard in Spain.
- When he was at Real Madrid there was a lot of tough games against Barcelona.
Mourinho’s Return to Chelsea
Everyone was really excited when Mourinho came back to Chelsea since he did so good there before from 2004 to 2007. In his second time there he helped Chelsea win the Premier League in 2014-2015. But things went bad and he had to leave in 2015 cause the team wasn’t doing good. When he came back everyone thought it was like he was coming home and he wanted to be the best in English football again.
♂️ José Mourinho: “Saying no to Florentino Perez remains one of the big regrets”.
