Al-Ittihad is trying to get FC Porto’s young talent Rodrigo Mora even though they’re having trouble with the deal. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has got lots of big teams looking at him like Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid because he’s been playing so good. FC Porto’s president André Villas-Boas wants a €70 million release clause which is making things pretty hard but they’re still talking about it.

Al-Ittihad’s Interest in Rodrigo Mora

Everyone’s talking about Al-Ittihad trying to get Rodrigo Mora. The young midfielder is really good he got 11 goals and gave 4 assists in the 2024-25 season. People think he’s worth about €40 million but FC Porto wants €70 million for him. André Villas-Boas who runs Porto says they either need all that money or they want some money from when Mora gets sold again later.


Competition from European Giants

It’s not just Al-Ittihad who wants Mora, big teams like Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are watching him too. Real Madrid has lots of money so they could maybe pay what Porto wants. Any team that gets Mora would be really happy cause he plays so good and can get even better.

Broader Implications for FC Porto

If Porto sells Mora they could get a lot of money to buy new players. Even though Mora has a contract until 2030 Porto might sell him if the price is right. André Villas-Boas has to think about getting money for the club but also about how good the team will be without Mora.

Whatever happens with this transfer will affect Porto and Al-Ittihad and maybe change what other big teams in Europe do too. Everyone’s waiting to see where this really good young player ends up playing next.
