Denzel Dumfries Joins Real Madrid
Denzel Dumfries is now part of Real Madrid’s senior squad after completing his move from Inter.
The move comes after Real Madrid triggered a €25 million release clause in his Inter contract.
What Dumfries’ Unveiling Means for Real Madrid
Dumfries arrives with extensive high-level club and international experience, giving Real Madrid an experienced defensive option who could contribute straight away.
Dumfries will be vying for the same spot as Trent Alexander-Arnold, giving Real Madrid another top-class option on the right flank without making any selection guarantees before he has even settled in.
Dumfries’ Recent Experience and Next Step
In Serie A during 2025, he made 20 appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist. He also scored twice in four UEFA Champions League outings. That kind of attacking output helps explain why Real Madrid were willing to move decisively once his release clause became an option.
Dumfries has already completed his first training session. If he settles quickly, he could become an important option for Real Madrid.
