Real Betis has added some muscle to their team by getting Colombian midfielder Nelson Deossa. The 25-year-old has come over to the Spanish club from Monterrey, Mexico, for what people are saying is around $17 million. He caught everyone’s eye with his energetic style and really good games at the FIFA Club World Cup, and lots of European clubs wanted him but Betis managed to get him first. Having him on board should make Betis’s midfield stronger and help them score more goals in La Liga.

Deossa’s Journey to Real Betis
Nelson Deossa started playing in Colombia, where he was with Atlético Huila and Atlético Nacional before he went to Argentina to play for Estudiantes de La Plata. Then he ended up in Mexico playing for Pachuca and Monterrey. Even though he hurt his ankle and couldn’t play during the Apertura 2025 season Real Betis still really wanted him cause of how good he was at the Club World Cup.
