Barcelona could be lining up a delayed goalkeeping move after reportedly settling on a verbal agreement for Fenerbahçe’s Dominik Livaković. The proposed package would be worth an initial €2 million plus a further €2 million in add-ons, with the experienced goalkeeper expected to spend this season out on loan before potentially joining the squad in 2027.
- Barcelona reportedly have a verbal agreement in place with Fenerbahçe for Dominik Livaković.

- Livaković would be expected to go out on loan this season before a planned 2027 arrival as part of Barcelona’s long-term goalkeeping strategy.
Barcelona’s plans for Dominik Livaković
Dominik Livaković has emerged as part of a longer-term plan for Barcelona, rather than an immediate first-team addition. Personal terms are understood to be in place, although the move has not been made official.
Livaković has plenty of recent club and international minutes under his belt, fitting the profile of a player who could offer experienced cover further down the line without forcing a short-term reshuffle.
With Ederson, Tarık Çetin and Mert Günok also among their goalkeeping options, Fenerbahçe may be open to a goalkeeper departure. Any loan destination for Livaković would still need to be settled.
Barcelona’s goalkeeper depth after Szczęsny
The proposed move would fit Barcelona’s post-Wojciech Szczęsny squad shape more than their plans for the next few months. Szczęsny is currently linked with a move to Barcelona, and the proposed plan would line up with him being expected to leave at the end of the season, opening up space for a new supporting option in the goalkeeping group.
Joan García would still sit ahead of Livaković in that projected structure, although the club has not formally announced those plans.
