Thiago Almada, who’s a key player for Atlético Madrid, is now out injured with a muscle problem. This is pretty bad timing for both his club and Argentina’s national team since Almada can’t play in important games coming up. His recent move to Atlético Madrid was supposed to be huge for his career but now this injury thing’s kinda messed that up.

Almada’s Career and Recent Transfer
Thiago Almada has done really good in his career and getting signed by Atlético Madrid in summer 2025 was like super big for him. Before that he was at Vélez Sarsfield in Argentina’s Primera División where he got really good and everyone noticed him. Atlético paid like €21 million for him cause they wanted to make their midfield better. Almada’s always been really good with the ball and sees the game real well.

Impact on Atlético Madrid
It’s really bad that Almada got hurt especially since they gotta play Real Madrid and Liverpool soon. The team’s gonna have to change how they play without him in these big games. Even though he’s hurt now everyone knows how good he is and both teams are just waiting for him to get better. Based on how good he was before, once he’s back healthy he’ll probably be super important for Atlético Madrid and Argentina again.
Looking Ahead
For Atlético Madrid they gotta deal with not having Almada which is tough but shows why you need lots of good players on the team. They’re gonna have to figure out different ways to play while he’s gone. Both the club and Argentina are keeping an eye on how his recovery is going cause they really want him back playing.
