Since he joined the clubs youth academy in 2013 he has shown amazing speed and dribbling skills. He played a big part in Athletic Bilbao’s Copa del Rey win in the 2023-24 season. With 132 games played and 16 goals Williams has shown how good he is on the field. For Spain, he played 28 matches and scored six goals. Even though big clubs like Barcelona wanted him Williams decided to stay at Athletic Bilbao with a 10-year contract.

Iker Muniain’s Legacy
Iker Muniain who people call “the Spanish Messi” is loved for how talented he is and how much he loves Athletic Bilbao. He started playing when he was 16 and played more than 500 games for the club. He helped the team win Copa del Rey in 2024. After playing a bit with San Lorenzo in Argentina Muniain stopped playing in June 2025 and became a manager at CD Derio in the Tercera Federación. Everyone remembers what he did at Athletic Bilbao and giving the number 10 jersey to Nico Williams shows a new time is starting.
