FIFA is gonna approve Aymeric Laporte’s transfer from Al-Nassr to Athletic Bilbao even though there were problems with late paperwork at first. This is really big news in the whole transfer thing and it’s good news for Athletic Bilbao and Laporte who really wants to go back to Spain.
- FIFA stopped the transfer at first cause Al-Nassr turned in their paperwork late
- Athletic Bilbao still thinks things will work out even though stuff went wrong before
- Laporte really wants to get back to Spain after playing with Manchester City and Al-Nassr
FIFA’s Role in Laporte’s Transfer
It’s kinda crazy but FIFA looks like they’re gonna say yes to Aymeric Laporte moving from Al-Nassr to Athletic Bilbao. At first they said no because Al-Nassr messed up and didn’t get their papers in on time which left Laporte not knowing what was gonna happen. Now it looks like everything might work out which is pretty big news for everyone involved.

Laporte who used to play for Athletic Bilbao really wants to get back to Spain after being with Manchester City and now Al-Nassr. Al-Nassr messed things up with their paperwork but Athletic Bilbao kept trying and it looks like that might pay off.
Laporte’s Career and Transfer Challenges
Aymeric Laporte has done some pretty cool stuff in his career. He’s really good at defense and did awesome at Manchester City where he won lots of Premier League titles. When he went to City from Athletic Bilbao back in 2018 it cost like €65 million which was huge money for a defender.
Right now, Laporte is hanging out in Bilbao waiting to see what happens. The club says they’ll go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) if they have to but maybe they won’t need to if FIFA says yes and then Laporte can play for Athletic Bilbao again.
Broader Implications for International Transfers
This whole thing with Laporte shows how complicated it is to move players between teams in different countries. Getting all the paperwork done right is just as important as how good someone plays. While Athletic Bilbao waits to hear what happens, everyone can see why you gotta be really careful with transfer paperwork and stuff.
