Kylian Mbappe reportedly ‘informs PSG’ of the club he wants to join next
Kylian Mbappe may be about to emerge as the biggest transfer story of the summer with reports increasingly suggesting that the World Cup winner has informed his club Paris St-Germain that he wants to exit and that the club he wants is Real Madrid.
A report in the Mirror states that Mbappe won’t sign an extension in Paris and will look for the club to facilitate a deal with Real Madrid this summer.
Mbappe, 22, is the second-top scorer in the Champions League this season (behind Erling Haaland) and scored a double in the Parisian’s victory over Bayern Munich in midweek.
Possibly the most valuable player in world football will be a free transfer in 2022, so if PSG run out of option in the coming months, they are likely to agree to sell, but huge question marks remain over whether Real Madrid can afford the fee and the wages this summer.
