Growing calls from Man City fans for club to re-sign former striker in January
Manchester City’s indifferent start to the season has led to calls for Pep Guardiola to dive into the transfer window in January to add some different dimensions to the XI.
One name who is cropping up more and more is the former City favourite Edin Dzeko, currently at Roma.
A report in the Manchester Evening News covers the transfer talk in-depth, with fans on social media noting that with the amount of crosses into the box and guaranteed assists from Kevin De Bruyne, a striker of Dzeko’s presence would see his fair share of chances.
The 34-year-old would surely be just a stop-gap option, if Pep Guardiola did pursue the Roma target man, who has three goals in five Serie A games this season.
