Gareth Bale in shock link to Premier League club planning a summer rebuild
Gareth Bale’s return to the Premier League has shown flashes of excellence, including a hat-trick against Sheffield United last weekend, but looks set to return to Real Madrid this summer with a year left on his contract.
However, Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly keen to bring the Welshman to Merseyside in a deal similar to the one that saw James Rodriguez make the switch from Madrid last summer.
A report in Sport Witness states that Ancelotti ‘loved’ working with Bale when the two were at Madrid together, and has seen enough from the 31-year-old at Spurs this season to push the Toffees to make a swoop.
Bale has 14 goals and three assists in 30 appearances this season for Tottenham.
