Former Manchester City midfield star Yaya Toure is set for another new club, this time in Brazil with Botafogo, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

The Ivory Coast international, now 36, is free to discuss with clubs after his contract expired at Chinese Super League side Qingdao Huanghai, and is set to sign a seemingly lucrative contract to move to Botafogo.

The report states that a deal could be completed by midweek but it’s been held up due to financial reasons, with the Brazilian club requiring additional finances from club investors to ensure the move goes through.

Toure won three Premier League titles during his spell with Manchester City, as well as a move coveted Champions League during a silverware-laden three years at Barcelona.
