Ex-Liverpool starlet ‘desperate to grab chance’ as Derby close on transfer
Championship club Derby County are closing in on the transfer of Bobby Duncan from Italian side Fiorentina, after the move to Serie A from Liverpool fell flat for the youngster.
The 19-year-old striker was banging in the goals for Liverpool’s youth side before sealing an eye-catching move to Fiorentina last year – however the move never worked out and Derby are close to bringing him back to England.
The Athletic claim that the deal will be for a free, but Fiorentina will demand a sell-on clause is included in the transfer.
Duncan is likely to spend a spell in the U23’s to build up fitness before being considered for the Derby first team.
