The current Ajax manager Erik ten Hag is the frontrunner to become the next Manchester United manager and there’s even reports circling that the Dutchman has already laid out transfer plans for the summer.

According to a report via BBC Football, Ruben Neves at Wolves is the top target for ten Hag.

However, the finances to do a deal for the 25-year-old Portuguese international could total around £100million – with Wolves’ boss Bruno Lage warning all interested clubs, in quotes carried in the report;

I don’t know if it’s Manchester United or other teams, what I know is we have a special player with us.

What he is doing this season is very good. I think also the way we play, he can show a better Ruben, and also the way he plays puts our team on a different level.

But who knows, when you have a top player like him in that specific position, that can defend and attack, and is a top professional and a great man, the big teams are there with £100m to buy these kinds of players.

If Man Utd are to sign Neves, Wolves would be profiting massively from the £16m paid to Porto back in 2017.
