David Moyes’ West Ham and Jose Mourinho’s Roma in for 25-goal striker
With Europa League football certain for next season, West Ham are keen to add more firepower to their front-line and have reportedly targeted a prolific Bundesliga attacker.
However, according to Italian source Calciomercato, Roma boss Jose Mourinho has his eyes on the same striker, 28-year-old Wout Weghorst at Wolfsburg.
Weghorst has been incredibly consistent in-front of goal in his previous seasons, netting a minimum of 16 times in the last five years, additionally the Dutchman has four senior caps to his name and has been named in his country’s preliminary Euro squad for this summer.
The lure of playing for Roma and Mourinho could prove tantalizing for Weghorst, who turns 29 later this summer, but the chance to play in the Premier League in London for the first time could be equally luring.
Wout Weghorst has scored 25 goals in all competitions this season for the German club.
