Cut-price £27m Roma star interesting both Manchester United and Arsenal

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta are reportedly both pushing their respective clubs towards a cut-price transfer in the form of Roma’s Turkish winger Cengiz Under.

The 22-year-old has had a mixed season in Italy, stalled by injury and an unproductive return of just three goals and no assists, as such Roma are keen to cash in.

Roma, according to a report via the Daily Mail, are prepared to sell for a price in the region of £27million, a decent profit for what they paid for the Turkish international back in 2017 from Istanbul Basaksehir.

Manchester United ideally want to sign Jadon Sancho from Dortmund, but a hefty price around £100m is said to be too much after the pandemic has put a strain on finances.

Arsenal too are evaluating their recruitment strategy, likely on a budget, and are also being linked with soon-to-be-out-of-contract Bournemouth star Ryan Fraser.
