Chelsea reportedly scrap January transfer plans to sign Premier League duo

Chelsea have decided against splashing any of their considerable transfer budget on Bournemouth’s defender Nathan Ake and striker Callum Wilson, that is according to Sky Sports News.

Nathan Ake has a buy-back clause of £40 million that Chelsea had put in place when they sold the Dutch defender to Bournemouth, but it now seems that Frank Lampard has decided against bringing back to Stamford Bridge.

Callum Wilson was being lined-up as a replacement for Olivier Giroud this month, having reportedly been scouting him for the past year, but his goalscoring record in recent months has put a stop to any interest this month.

Chelsea are yet to sign any new players this month, but are actively looking to do some business to strengthen their top four push.
