Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel reveals he will contact Arsenal star
Thomas Tuchel has surprisingly admitted that he will be personally reaching out to his former Dortmund striker and current Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has just found himself in hot water and stripped of the captaincy.
According to quotes carried in the Mirror, Tuchel revealed he will “at some point” talk to Aubameyang – the Gabon international is out of the Arsenal XI and due to an unknown disciplinary incident has lost his role as captain.
The future of the 32-year-old is now very much in the air and it would hardly be a surprise if Arsenal were to listen to offers for the striker in the new year.
Thomas Tuchel and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won the DFB Pokal (cup) in 2017 together at Dortmund and this will start rumours flying around that the two could be reunited at Chelsea, but a permanent move for such an ageing player on high wages doesn’t look to be on the cards.
