Championship club plan ambitious swoop for Spurs’ Danny Rose by Friday
Tottenham left-back Danny Rose is a man completely frozen out at the club and while it looked like he’d be heading out to a move overseas in the summer, it never materialised. Now, a report is linking the former England international with a drop down to the Championship.
Middlesbrough are plotting a bid for the 30-year-old by Friday evening’s domestic transfer window deadline, and will fancy their chances, with options now very limited for Rose’s chances of first team football.
Football Insider reports that Spurs would be open to loaning him out, just to get him off their wages, having failed to secure a fee in the main transfer window.
Sergio Reguilon is now first choice at left-back, with Ben Davies also in rotation for the position Danny Rose used to be a regular in.
