Burnley to demand eye-watering £50million if their rivals want to sign star
Burnley are reluctant sellers this summer, according to LancsLive, but they will find it hard to turn down a minimum offer of around £50million should some of their Premier League rivals come calling for their star man.
The report claims that Tottenham are the latest club, after Chelsea last summer, to want England international Nick Pope, who is proving invaluable for Burnley in their bid to stay in the top-flight.
Pope though is tied down to a contract until 2023 with an option to trigger another year, so the 28-year-old will not come cheap.
Tottenham are believed to be looking to life after Hugo Lloris and Pope’s impressive Premier League pedigree makes him an obvious candidate for Jose Mourinho’s side.
