Serhou Guirassy has become really hot in the football transfer market with Borussia Dortmund putting his release clause at €50 million for European clubs. It’s caught the eye of big teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal. Saudi clubs gotta pay more though with a €80 million release clause which shows how Dortmund wants to keep their best striker.
- Guirassy’s release clause is €50 million for European clubs.
- Saudi clubs must pay €80 million to trigger his release.
- The clause will reduce to €50 million for all clubs by 2026.
European Clubs Eyeing Guirassy
Serhou Guirassy who’s a key striker for Borussia Dortmund, is getting lots of attention from top European clubs. With that €50 million release clause teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal are watching him real close. This makes it way cheaper for European clubs compared to what Saudi Pro League clubs have to pay which is €80 million.
Guirassy has been playing amazing under Dortmund’s manager Niko Kovac and everyone can see it. Word is that Barcelona is really interested maybe cause they need someone to replace their older striker Robert Lewandowski.
Serhou Guirassy’s release clause at Dortmund is set at €50M — but here’s the twist 👀
Only European clubs can trigger it at that price. For Saudi clubs? They’d need to drop around €80M to make it happen, per @SPORTBILD 💰 https://t.co/UKt5AkqWCh

The Saudi Pro League Factor
The Saudi Pro League keeps getting bigger in the transfer market which makes things interesting for Guirassy’s possible move. Teams from there have to pay €80 million to get him which shows how much money they got and how bad they want good players. This price difference is cause Dortmund either wants to keep him longer or make more money if he leaves.
Even though Guirassy seems happy at Dortmund his people are keeping an eye on what’s happening especially since he could make a lot more money somewhere else. This makes everything kinda uncertain and exciting about where he’ll end up.
Strategic Implications for Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund having two different release clauses is pretty smart to get the most value from Guirassy. By making Saudi clubs pay more, Dortmund gets good money if he leaves early. The clause going down to €50 million by 2026 means European clubs might get more interested as it gets closer to that date.
Keeping Guirassy who they got from VfB Stuttgart in 2024 for €18 million could really help Dortmund stay strong in the Bundesliga. His contract goes till 2028 and he makes about €9 million every year which shows Dortmund really wants to keep their best scorer.
