  • He’s been a huge part of how good the club’s been doing including their unbeaten run in Bundesliga and winning the DFB Cup in 2023/24

Palacios’ Impact at Bayer Leverkusen

Exequiel Palacios who started out at River Plate has really made his mark at Bayer Leverkusen since he came over in January 2020. When he moved to European football it was like, a really big deal for him and now he’s played more than 110 Bundesliga games and scored 11 goals which is pretty good. He’s been really important especially during the amazing season they’re having in 2023/24.

Strategic Contract Renewal

Getting Palacios to sign a new contract is like really smart from Bayer Leverkusen because they want to keep doing well in Germany and Europe. Simon Rolfes who runs the sports stuff at the club says Palacios is really good on his own but also has played in lots of big games which is what they need. Like he won the World Cup with Argentina in 2022 which is pretty massive for the club to have someone like that.

Future Prospects for Bayer Leverkusen

Going forward, Bayer Leverkusen wants to keep doing really well and Palacios is gonna be super important for that. With Xabi Alonso as coach, they’ve gotten really good at football in Germany. The way Palacios plays fits really well with how Alonso wants the team to play which means they could do really well in Germany and Europe too.
