Brighton and West Ham tussle for Championship striker with £25m price-tag

  • Mar 07, 11:10

The Premier League duo of West Ham and Brighton are reportedly set on signing Championship striker Adam Armstrong from Blackburn Rovers.

The caveat is that neither club are keen to match Blackburn’s valuation of £25million, but with 20 goals in 35 appearances, there’s no doubt the Englishman has become a hot commodity.

Both Premier League clubs will point to Armstrong’s contract which expires in 2022 for a reason to pay less than the £25m valuation being reported via the Sun.

Brighton may just hold the edge in negotiations with the potential to promise Armstrong regular starts week-in-week-out as the Seagulls are desperate to find a regular goalscorer.
