Gustavo Quinteros going to be the new head coach of Grêmio which is like a pretty big deal in his coaching career. The Argentine manager is going to sign with the Brazilian club till December 2025. They picked him after talks with Pedro Caixinha didn’t work out so now Quinteros is stepping in to run things.

Gustavo Quinteros who was born in Cafferata Argentina has like done really good as a football manager in different countries. He started managing at Argentinos Juniors and then went on to manage teams in Bolivia Ecuador and Chile. He did some pretty cool stuff like winning titles back to back with Emelec in Ecuador and winning a bunch of stuff with Colo-Colo. His latest thing was getting Vélez Sarsfield to win the 2024 Argentine Primera División which was pretty awesome.

With Quinteros coming to Grêmio it’s like starting something new for the club which has got lots of history in Brazilian football. Since he knows a lot about South American football people think he’s a good pick to help Grêmio do better. Everyone wants to see what he’ll do to make the team better in the tough Brasileirão games.

Quinteros coming to Grêmio is just one of the big things happening with managers and players moving around in Brazilian football. Like there’s this Paraguayan forward Isidro Pitta who just went to Red Bull Bragantino which shows how much stuff is happening. Also Atlético Mineiro is trying real hard to keep their goalkeeper Everson even though Bahia wants him which shows how teams are trying to get better. Quinteros is going to need to use everything he knows to help Grêmio do good in all this crazy stuff that’s happening.
