Felipe Luis: Building a Legacy at Flamengo
Felipe Luis who used to be really good playing for Chelsea and Atletico Madrid is now making Flamengo do really well. Since he became manager in September 2024 the team has won lots of stuff like Copa do Brasil 2024, Supercopa do Brasil 2025 and Campeonato Carioca 2025. His team wins like 79.17% of their games which is really good. Felipe likes his team to press hard and use the wings a lot, kinda like Jorge Jesus did. He started coaching Flamengo’s U17s and now he’s in charge of the main team which shows how much he cares about helping young players like Joshua get better.
Filipe Luís: “Joshua era meu jogador no sub-17, me emocionei muito com o gol dele”.

Joshua: A Star in the Making
Joshua started in Flamengo’s youth teams and now he’s scoring for the main team which shows how good their youth program is. Even though he’s only 17 everyone thinks he’s gonna be really good. Playing in the main team so young with Felipe Luis teaching him is really good for his future. He’s doing kinda the same as other young players like Erick Pulga did. Joshua could end up being as good as some of Flamengo’s best ever players.
Flamengo’s Strategic Focus on Youth
You can see how much Flamengo cares about young players not just with Joshua but with everything they do. Since Felipe Luis became manager he’s been putting lots of young players in the main team just like Vasco da Gama does. While Flamengo keeps doing good in the Brasileirao Joshua and the other young players are gonna be really important for Brazilian football.
