Gregore’s Impact at Botafogo
Gregore came to Botafogo in early 2024 from Inter Miami CF and quickly became a big part of the team’s midfield. His defensive skills and ability to play different positions have helped Botafogo do really good. He’s worth about €6.00 million so if he gets sold it could change a lot about what the club does next.
Arthur Jorge who became Botafogo’s manager in April 2024 after doing good with SC Braga has made the team way better. Gregore has been super important for making this happen and even scored the winning goal that got them the Brasileirão title.

Broader Implications in Brazilian Football
Gregore maybe leaving is part of what’s happening in Brazilian football where teams are spending money on good players to get better. You can see this with Red Bull Bragantino getting Isidro Pitta which shows how things are changing in the league.
Also Atlético Mineiro keeping their goalkeeper Everson even though Bahia wanted him shows how teams are fighting to keep their best players in Série A. As things change players like Gregore moving around shows all the complicated deals happening in Brazilian football.
